Baby pumpkins growing so bright
Soon to be carved for Halloween night
Small and big huddled in a group
All afraid of the big bad scoop
Day after day one is taken away
Can't leave any to ghastly decay
Soon the pumpkin patch was bare
Come back next year if you dare
